Reels
A public Reel link can identify one vertical video for download when the CDN exposes a file. Copy it from the Reel's Share menu.
Instagram video downloader for Reels and posts — Instagram photo download and MP4 save online. Paste a public instagram.com link; story saver for expired Stories is not supported.

Each type of Instagram media has different sharing and visibility rules. This tool only works with eligible public item links.
A public Reel link can identify one vertical video for download when the CDN exposes a file. Copy it from the Reel's Share menu.
Stories are not supported. They expire, often require authenticated viewing, and should not be fetched through a public-link tool.
A public /p/ post can include a video or an image. Carousels may expose items differently, so a listed result depends on the individual post.
Highlights are not supported because their availability can depend on account access and Story-related rules. Use an eligible public post or Reel instead.
Instagram Reels often ship as a single MP4 from the CDN — what you see in-app is what you get in the file listing when the fetch succeeds. Some third-party tools promise watermark removal; we simply expose the stream tied to your pasted link, which may or may not include baked-in UI depending on how Instagram packaged that Reel. For creator-owned content, downloading from your own account via official export is preferable. For public Reels you have rights to archive, saving the Share link copy preserves the clip locally at roughly the quality Instagram serves to anonymous viewers — typically adequate for phone playback but not always true 1080p source. Carousel posts with multiple videos require downloading each clip from its own post link if the carousel exposes separate entries. Profile grid links, highlight covers, and audio-only Reels are not valid inputs — always paste the URL of the individual Reel or video post. If quality matters for editing, note that re-encoding in Instagram may soften fine detail compared with the original camera file.
Open the exact Instagram Reel or post you want, select the Share menu, and copy the link. A valid item link normally contains a Reel or post identifier. Profile URLs, bio pages, explore collections, sound pages, and hashtag pages do not identify one downloadable media item.
Before pasting, make sure the post opens to the same item in a signed-out browser. This quick check helps distinguish eligible public media from private-account or restricted content. It also prevents you from saving the wrong item after a forwarded or shortened link.
Public Reels are often delivered as a single MP4 when the platform exposes a file. Paste the Reel's own address, then select a listed download. The saved quality reflects Instagram's public delivery, which may differ from a creator's original camera master.
A Reel can contain music, captions, editing, and branding that belong to its creator. An offline file is useful only when you have a lawful reason to save it. It is not a license to remove attribution, repost the video, or present it as your own work.
Instagram photo download starts with one public post URL, usually a /p/ link. If the platform exposes an image file, a JPG or PNG option may appear. A photo profile grid is not enough because it does not specify which post you intend to save.
Carousels can contain several photos and videos under one post. Results depend on what is publicly available for that item, and not every slide becomes a separate file. Review the preview and respect the photographer's copyright before retaining or sharing any image.
Stories are temporary and commonly tied to authenticated viewing. Highlights reuse Story-related media and can also depend on account access. For privacy and access reasons, this Instagram video downloader does not function as a story saver or a highlight extraction tool.
If you own a Story or Highlight, use Instagram's official account tools to retrieve your original material. For another person's content, ask the creator for a copy or permission. A public Reel or post link is the appropriate input when available.
Instagram often exposes one practical public rendition rather than a menu of resolutions. The file shown is what the source makes available, so a larger original cannot be restored after download. For a creator-owned archive, official export tools may provide a better master.
Watermarks, captions, usernames, and other visual elements may be part of the video pixels. Do not expect a downloader to remove them. They can protect attribution and context, and editing another creator's branding out of a clip can violate rights or platform rules.
On a phone, copy the Share link in Instagram, open your browser, paste it here, and confirm the file destination. On a computer, save the result into a labeled folder so it remains clear which project, permission, or reference it belongs to.
No install is needed for this workflow, which can be safer than granting an unknown app access to your gallery or account. Keep a stable connection and enough storage space, especially for a longer Reel or a high-detail public video.
If the page reports that a link cannot be found, open it in a private browser window. The account may be private, the post may be deleted, or the copied address may be incomplete. Copy again from the post's Share menu rather than from an in-app browser bar.
For more help, read our related blog guidance about Instagram public links, Reels, and photo formats. When a creator needs a clean archive of their own content, their official account export remains the preferred route.
Save the original post URL with any authorized Instagram file so you can identify the creator, caption, and publication context later. This is useful for your own campaign archive or a permitted research reference. A local MP4 or image should not become detached from the rights and credit that apply to the original post.
In Instagram, open the Reel or video post → … menu → Share → Copy link.
Paste the instagram.com URL into the tool and click Download to load formats.
Save the listed file to your camera roll or downloads folder.
Confirm that the preview belongs to the Reel, video post, or photo you selected, then save the listed file. Public post access and creator permission remain essential.
This Instagram video downloader accepts public Reels and feed links for Instagram Reels download and MP4 save. For Instagram photo download, image carousels may list JPG or PNG when the CDN exposes them — always paste the individual post or Reel URL.
Instagram aggressively protects creator content — stories, private accounts, and close-friends posts cannot be fetched without authorization. Always copy the link from Share → Copy link on the exact Reel or post, not a profile URL. Links opened from bio pages or tagged mentions should be opened fully before sharing so the URL contains the post ID. If the reel plays for someone logged out, it will be a good candidate for download here.
Use downloads for personal offline viewing, inspiration boards you own, or content you published yourself. Creators backing up their own Reels, marketers archiving approved campaign assets, and travelers saving tutorials for offline flights all rely on simple link paste workflows. We are not affiliated with Meta or Instagram. Removing watermarks or re-uploading others' Reels may violate copyright and community guidelines.
Grab public Reels and standard video posts from copied share links. Works with instagram.com/reel/ and /p/ URLs when the account is public and the post has not been restricted.
Many /tv/ or long-form post URLs resolve when the content is still public on the CDN. Longer interviews, guides, and live replay uploads often exceed one minute and still save as a single MP4.
Works entirely in the browser — useful on phones without sideloading unknown saver apps.
Copy, paste, download — three steps without Instagram login on our site.
See caption snippet or title when available so you know the right Reel was fetched.
Same link pasted on desktop or mobile yields the same downloadable file when public. Save on your laptop, then AirDrop or sync the MP4 to your phone for offline viewing without using Instagram data.
Use the Reel or post URL itself, which avoids confusing a downloadable item with a profile, audio page, or hashtag collection.
Public posts can expose a video or image file, helping you choose a practical Instagram photo download when a format is listed.
